The London Eye

This magnificent wheel was the brainchild of David Marks and Julia Barfield who headed a huge team of engineers and technicians from five countries to ensure their dream came true. Designed to commemorate the new millennium, the wheel was conceived as an elegant metaphor to represent the turning of the century.

Standing 135 metres hig, the London Eye carries 32 capsules, representing each of the thirty two London Boroughs, at a speed of 0.6 miles per hour enabling everyone plenty of time to take in the vista before them. A unique mounting system ensures an uninterrupted 360 degree view at the peak of your journey.
