South East England OverviewOver 400 miles of coastline ensures there are plenty of traditional seaside resorts like Brighton and Eastbourne along its shores. History comes alive at the white cliffs of Dover, Hastings and the soaring towers of Canterbury Cathedral, whilst to the west, the rolling Surrey countryside yields treasures like Hampton Court Palace and Box Hill. As a short break destination, you will not be disappointed.

South East England Counties

  • East Sussex - a delightful mix of unspoilt countryside and traditional seaside resorts like Brighton and Eastbourne. If you are in the area, a visit to Hastings is a must to revisit the dark days of 1066!
  • Kent - known as the Garden of England and one of the primary departure points for Europe at Dover, don't miss the historic Dockyards at Chatham. The jewel in the crown of Kent must be Canterbury famous for it's cathedral and Chaucer's Canterbury Tales
  • Surrey - an eclectic mix of stunning countryside, quaint villages and bustling market towns like Guildford. Stretching right up to the outskirts of London, enjoy Richmond-upon-Thames and some excellent shopping in Kingston-upon-Thames
  • West Sussex - winding lanes and delightful villages characterise one of England's forgotten counties. Explore the superb castle at Arundel and don't miss Lancing Chapel with it's glorious Rose Window near Worthing
  • Gatwick Airport , close to the town of Crawley serves as London's second international airport with flights departing to all four corners of the world
