Plymouth Tourist Information and Visitor Guide
Plymouth Hoe where Sir Francis Drake played bowls as the Spanish Armada hove into view is just one fabulous part of this maritime city's heritage. The Pilgrim Fathers departed to the New World from here and more recently the Luftwaffe tried to flatten Plymouth in a bid to destroy the British Navy during WW2. Now a modern, bustling, university city, it's well worth a visit.
