Orléans Tourist Information and Visitor Guide
The twin spires of the Cathedrale Ste-Croix pierce the sky above the city made famous by Joan of Arc. Homages to her memory are everywhere and the most dramatic is in the Place du Martroi where she is depicted astride a horse with pennants flying. The city was badly damaged during WW2 but part of the old town is still there to be explored, clustered around the Cathedral.
