North Wales Borderlands OverviewThe borderlands between England and Wales are a magical mix of spectacular engineering works and stunning countryside. Criss-crossed with canals, many of which have now been re-opened, see astonishing aquaducts, complex locks and narrow waterways. Lakes and forests cover much of the area and there are some fabulous walks in ancient woodland.

  • The Horse Shoe Pass - offers some of the most spectacular views in Wales as it climbs from Llangollen
