- Flevopolder - is The Netherlands youngest province, created entirely out of water, sandbanks and mud flats as part of the reclamation schemes. Much of the area is polder landscape with rich farmland, but some of the towns have impressive modern architecture
- Gelderland - is The Netherlands largest province with an interesting colourful history. The province has lots of natural scenery ranging from heaths and woodlands in the north, small farms, stately homes and castles in the east, and river-valleys in the southwest
