- Bedfordshire - the county town of Bedford is located between the A1 and the M1. The major commercial towns of Luton & Dunstable straddle the M1. The scenic village of Woburn is next to the historic park

- Suffolk - is home to the famous horse-racing town of Newmarket. Bury St.Edmunds is a major agricultural centre. Lowestoft is a popular seaside resort. Ipswich is a busy commercial centre
