- Calvi - busy town with a great sandy beach. There is also an enormous citadel situated on a windswept rock, overlooking the port area.
- Bastia – Bastia is a bustling place founded in the 14th century with narrow meandering streets
- Corte – in the centre of the island, this lively university town is also great for walking and hiking
