Brussels Tourist Information and Visitor Guide

Brussels OverviewBrussels is a fascinating city, a mix of ancient buildings and modern sky-scrapers and home to the European Parliament. Although the historic old town is small there is plenty to see, most famously the Manneken Pis which has over 500 different costumes to wear. The Grote Markt, or Grand Place is where visitors and locals meet and always has a lively atmsophere.

  • Manneken Pis - measuring just 30cm, this little bronze boy having a pee has been the pride and joy of the Brusells for years
  • Atomium - the 102-metre-tall steel and aluminum structure a symbol of the atom concept, increased by 165 billions times
  • Musée Magritte Museum - a fantastic collection of the works of Magritte ranging from paintings to music scores, films and photographs
  • Royal Galleries of Saint-Hubert - a grand 19th-century shopping arcade near the Grand Place
  • The Palais Royale - the sumptuous public apartments are open for about 6 weeks during the summer and well worth a visit
