Bristol Classic Car Show 7-8 February

The 30th Footman James Bristol Classic Car Show opens its doors at the Royal Bath & West Showground on Saturday 7th February 2009.  One of the highlights of this year’s show will be One Hundred Years of Morgan with cars from every decade on display.

A huge gathering of vintage and classic cars will include the first unveiling of the original Volvo P 1800 driven by Roger Moore in ‘The Saint’ and there will plenty of other makes and models to bring back memories. From Jensen’s to Jags and Corvettes to Cortinas, Imps, Hillmans and Morris Minor’s galore,  enthusiasts will be salivating over polished cylinder heads, exquisitely tuned carbs and paintwork so shiny you will need your sunglasses!

Suppliers of everything from ancient electrical parts to hand-stitched leatherwork will be displaying their wares for the edification of the hard-cord enthusiast.  I’m sure there will be plenty of advice and discussion and how best to wire your loom, polish your pistons or make that manifold fit!

Not sure where I will start, maybe the Sunbeam Rapier stand (‘cos I had a beautiful white one with a sexy black roof) or the cheeky little Citroen 2CV’s because I have always wanted one – whichever it is, I must book my hotel in Bristol  so I don’t miss a thing.
