Les Miserables - the world’s longest running musical

Now approaching its 25th year in London, Les Miserables is the world’s longest running musical, surpassing the record created by ‘Cats’.

This epic drama of passion and justice has been seen by over 56 million people worldwide.  It has been staged in 42 countries and translated into 21 different languages.

Les Miserable originally opened in London at the Barbican Theatre on the 8th October 1985 before transferring to the Palace Theatre on the 4th December 1985.  It has been at the Queen’s Theatre in Shaftesbury Avenue since the 3rd April 2004 and continues to sell-out regularly.
