The Postal Museum in Bath, is where the world's first posting of a stamped letter took place, the stamp used was a Penny Black. The museum houses a full size Victorian post office, and traces the development over to years. In recent years the museum has been used for the inspiration for the tv programme Larkrise to Candelford.
