Domaine national de Champs-sur-Marne

Built at the beginning of the 18th century by Bullet de Chamblain, the château belonged to the ducs de la Vallière and de Levis. It was rented out to the marquise de Pompadour. Classical exterior, Regency and baroque-style panelling, home to a collection of furniture of the period stamped for authenticity by their makers and paintings from the 18th century; it is surrounded by one of the finest parks in Ile-de-France, consisting of a formal garden and a landscaped park extending over 85 hectares.
