Anglesey OverviewJutting out into the Atlantic Ocean, Anglesey is surrounded by wonderful safe and sandy beaches interspersed with glorious coastal walks. This outpost of Wales has a long and distinguished history as the ring of castles overlooking the Menai Strait demonstrates. First occupied thousands of years ago, there are some fascinating archeological sites and standing stones to be found inland.
