Destinations
Over the last few months we have added depth and breadth to all our Italian pages with special pages dedicated to the popular tourist destinations of the Amalfi Coast, the Italian Lakes and Tuscany. These pages are in addition to our city pages covering destinations as diverse as Rome, Verona and Palermo in Sicily. If you are thinking of flying to any of these destinations, take a look at our revised airport pages such as Gatwick, Edinburgh and of course Heathrow were we no included dedicated links to hotels where parking is available for the duration of your holiday. At Openroads.com, we pride ourselves on attention to detail and our Cornwall expert has refreshed many of the hotel pages to include hotels in some of the tiny villages.
Hotels
At openroads.com, we aim to make selecting a hotel as easy as possible. All major destinations have focussed hotels listings so if you are looking for a bed and breakfast in Torquay, you do not have to wade through long lists of all accommodation. If you prefer selecting a hotel by location, associated maps clearly pinpoint where all the hotels are, so if you are looking for a hotel in central Salzburg, you won’t find yourself somewhere on the outskirts. Look out for our handpicked selections at popular destinations like Bournemouth, Canterbury and Norwich.

Everyone likes a good deal and there are plenty to be found on our website. Look out for special offer banners at the top of each page which range from extra free nights to percentage discounts. All our major destinations have a special section for Special Offers where you will find offers on individual hotels, last-minute offers and some excellent packages. Brighton has some excellent offers available and York has several attraction packages that include accommodation. In Europe, many major cities such as Vienna and Geneva offer excellent tours both of the city and the surrounding area.
Itineraries
We are currently working on some fantastic ideas for unique touring holidays in Britain, Europe and North America. If you have always wanted to travel Route 66 in America, or maybe follow the Fairytale Route from Hanau to Bremen in Germany we will give you a suggested route that takes in the major sights with the option to book all your hotels on-line before you leave. For major cities like Paris and London, the attractions have been grouped, so of your special interest is art, browse a list of the Museums and Galleries in Paris.

All our listings for hotels and attractions have associated interactive maps enabling you to see exactly where you are staying and where the local attractions are. Use the tools displayed on the map to zoom in to see the location of a hotel in more detail, or zoom out to include hotels in a wider area. If you are looking for a hotel near Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, you will want to see where the closest hotels are so we have zoomed the map in close for you. When looking for somewhere to stay in the Yorkshire Dales, there are so many lovely places in the area, we have widened the map out. All the hotels are displayed as icons on the map, so if you spot a hotel in a good location, click on the icon and it will bring up full details of the hotel.
